| Title: | An example of nearly integrable Hamiltonian system with a trajectory dense in a set of almost maximal Hausdorff dimension |
| Seminar: | Center for Dynamics and Geometry Seminar |
| Speaker: | V. Kaloshin, Maryland |
| Abstract: |
| In his ICM'98 talk Herman stated the following old problem:
Construct an example of a nearly integrable Hamiltonian
system with a dense orbit on an energy surface. During
the talk departing we shall describe an example of
a nearly integrable Hamiltonian system with an orbit dense
in a set of an almost maximal Hausdorff dimension.
Construction of this example relies on ideas of an example
of Arnold diffusion due to the author and M. Levi, described
in the seminar on September 15. This is a joint work with
M. Levi and M. Saprykina. |
