|Title:||A recipe for post-classical probabilistic theories|
|Seminar:||Applied Algebra and Network Theory Seminar|
|Speaker:||Alex Wilce, Susquehanna University|
|I describe a simple recipe for building (generally, non-classical) probabilistic models having strong symmetry properties from group-theoretic data. Where it can be made functorial, this construction becomes a recipe for symmetric monoidal categories of such models. A version of quantum mechanics arises as a special case.|
