| Abstract:
The asymtotic behavior of ground state eigenvalue and
eigenfunction of singularly perturbed elliptic operators of the
form $A_\epsilon=\epsilon^2 a_{ij}\partial_i\partial_j +\epsilon
b_i\partial_i+c$
in the limit $\epsilon\to 0$ is addressed. WKB-type asymptotics are
obtained following an approach due to L.C.Evans and H.Ishi.
The main ingradients of this approach are elliptic
estimates and the viscosity solutions technique. |
