| I will derive the Navier-Stokes and Euler equations describing the motion
of incompressible fluids from physical principles. I will then discuss how
to apply techniques from Analysis to study the existence and uniqueness
of solutions to the Navier-Stokes equations. One facet of this study
leads to one of the "million dollar" problems in Mathematics. |
