|Title:||Higher order terms in Waring's problem|
|Seminar:||Algebra and Number Theory Seminar|
|Speaker:||Robert Vaughan, The Pennsylvania State University|
|In joint work with Trevor Wooley asymptotic formula for the number of representations in Waring's problem is studied and it is shown that there are second and higher order terms which have not been noticed before. In particular, new kinds of singular series occur which present novel questions to be elucidated.|
