| Title: | Conservativeness and recurrence of Brownian motion on a weighted manifold in terms of Green's formula at infinity |
| Seminar: | Seminar on Probability and its Application |
| Speaker: | Jun Masamune, PSU Altoona |
| Abstract: |
| We will discuss about a new criteria for Brownian
motion on a weighted manifold to be conservative or recurrent in terms
of Green's formula at infinity; namely, we find the set of test
functions so that its "boundary term" in Green's formula vanishes if
and only if the Brownian motion is conservative or recurrent. The
result was obtained in a collaborative effort with A. Grigoryan (PDF
can be found at http://www.personal.psu.edu/jum35/papers/PSG.pdf). If
time permits, as a related topic, I will talk about the uniqueness of
Markov extensions. |
