| Title: | The Grothendieck-Teichmueller group and its role in quantization |
| Seminar: | GAP Seminar |
| Speaker: | Vasily Dolgushev, Temple University |
| Abstract: |
| Inspired by Grothendieck's lego-game, Vladimir Drinfeld introduced,
in 1990, a pro-unipotent algebraic group which he called
the Grothendieck-Teichmueller group GRT. This group has interesting
links to the absolute Galois group of rationals, moduli of algebraic curves,
solutions of Kashiwara-Vergne problem, and theory of motives. In my
talk, I will
show that the group GRT plays a universal role in the study of
quantization procedures. My talk is based on results of Thomas
Willwacher and myself. |
