| Classical questions in Singularity Theory are closely related to modern developments in the topology and geometry of 3-folds. In particular, we can study isolated singularities of Complex Algebraic Surfaces as families of their intersections with small spheres. No background in Singularity theory is required. The talk based on the recent joint work with Jean-Paul Brasselet, Alexandre Fernandes, Walter Neumann and Anne Pichon. |
