| First an overview of important results and techniques for asymptotics of partition functions will be given. Two important theorems, one by Meinardus, the other one by Ingham, will be discussed in more detail, since the main theorem of this thesis is closely related to them. After the proof of the main theorem, we will then apply it to certain partition ideals of order 1. The final chapter gives a new proof for an asymptotic formula for partitions into distinct parts. |
