| Invisibility cloaks are close to becoming reality not to be confined just to Harry Potter movies. Current nano-technology can be used to manufacture meta-materials, consisting of transparent dielectrics with metallic nano-inclusions that can manipulate the refractive index. The resulting meta-material can guide light rays around a cavity and make it appear that the cavity does not exists. The talk will discuss a mathematical description of this phenomenon. |
