| Principal series are parabolically induced representations which play a key role in the representation theory of semisimple Lie groups. On the other hand, the induction Hilbert modules introduced by Rieffel provide a powerful setting for induced representations at the level of C*-algebras. The aim of this talk is to discuss a construction of induction Hilbert modules generalising Rieffel's in order to closely reflect the specificities of the principal series of certain Lie groups, such as generic irreducibility or classical geometric realisations. |
