The Department of Mathematics at Penn State University has a unique and active applied math group which includes strengths in computational mathematics, dynamical systems, and experimental studies. The presence of real experimental lab in our department was conceived to conduct high precision experiments which, when allied with analytical and computational approaches, affords a three-pronged attack on fundamental questions of natural phenomena. See our new Applied Math Prospectus (Fall 2007 Version). Here is a listing of the associated faculty in our department. |
